Where can I find people with a similar philosophy as me (reposted from elsewhere)?
I always feel ideologically isolated and half the time I'm frustrated by the (Supposed) values of others.
I want to find someone to talk to about random crap but who somewhat approximates the way I feel about things. Someone with a similar world view. I don't suppose there's any kind of website where this sort of thing happens? Like a database of ideologies, find the one you're looking for and talk to the person? Like the facebook of philosophy, maybe.

the best place for you to find people for this cause is here in the philosophy section. there are no websites that has forums about philosophy (at least not that i heard of). just post your theorys and hope youll come across someone who agrees with them.

Most websites devoted to ideas compromise with one downside or another. More frequently these days they are becoming more interactive, but even these types of websites are few and far between. For example, if you search for 'idea forum' odds are you will get a messy discussion group and not something really substantial. But here are some ideas:
When I was looking for intellectual substantiation I found a website called http://www.project-syndicate.org/ that has genuine expert articles and the ability to submit comments with a simple free membership. This is your opportunity to affect the real movers and shakers of the world. For that reason it seems very worthwhile and substantiating.
Another website is http://www.explore-ideas.com/ which, although anonymous in nature, has a wide variety of potentially interesting topics which people are continually expanding on. Once the owner contacted me and said that he got over 1,000,000 visitors a day! That's impressive.
Also, Amazon has a hard-to-locate discussion group about books and other topics. Here's a link to Amazon's philosophy discussion group: http://www.amazon.com/forum/philosophy . I imagine there are similar groups for politics, etc. as well. I find that the discussions there tend to be high-level.
I hope I have been helpful. These three links are truly exceptional. There must be better options somewhere, but they might be like literary clubs or fraternities, which aren't as accessible.
Hopefully the trend is towards more openness in ideas, to let all the 'loose thinkers' do their thinking together.
Source(s): I also recommend two books I self-published, the 1-Page-Classics, and the Dimensional Philosopher's Toolkit. These are potentially life-changing if you're interested in philosophy or literature. - CommonBarefootLv 78 years ago
You must be my minds twin ....
I don't know of any websites. I just stick to YA.
Although there is experience project. Its mostly just troubled or overly dramatic teens pouring their hearts out but there is a few philosophy sections where people share their ideas an opinions. That's basically all you do. Find a section and post your story/confession or opinions/ideas/theories and you and others discuss the post.
