To do it right you are going to have to spend some time learning how to prepare the food. You must make sure the cat is getting the nutrition it needs. There are some very good cat food at places like petco. So I'm giving you three links two are on how to feed a raw diet to a cat one is a cat food review site that you should look at.

A cat should not be fed a diet totally of people food. You need to stop and put them back on cat food. Not only can some human food be toxic to cats, but they aren't able to digest some of it as well, especially dairy products. And there are many essential ingredients they need that cannot be found in a diet of anything other than cat appropriate food. If you're worried about the recall, than you can always look up what foods are not on the list. There are plenty of webpages that are constantly being updated with what's ok and what isn't. I feed my cats Innova Evo, which is not on the recall list. It's a very good high quality cat food.

Cats need a balanced diet, which is very hard to achieve if you want to make your own cat food. Feeding a cat canned tuna will cause crystals in the urine, a terribly painful problem for the cat, and one that will take thousands of dollars in vet bills. Same with ham. You can feed both of these as a treat, but they cannot form the main diet. It will make your cat sick and he will die.
If you want to feed high quality foods, then I suggest you buy cat food from a pet store, as they are the only ones allowed to seel quality cat food (aside from vets). Grocery stores can only sell grocery quality food.
I would recommend Royal Canin Speciall 33 and/or Blue Buffalo duck formula. I feed my cats a selection of 3 dry foods (the above and a veterninary formula for prevention of crystals) at all times, and supplement with treats a couple times a week like tuna or cut up ham or turkey. Sometimes I buy the frozen live cat food from my pet store and give that too.

Cat food provides a properly formulated balanced diet. Feed your cat stuff that is not designed as animal food and he may end up not getting enough of all the nutrients he needs. Also, you would be surprised at how some "regular" human food items are actually toxic to cats.

One of our cats is a pedigree, and was weaned on a raw food diet, which we've continued. He eats natural instincts raw cat food, but also has a serving of dry food to nibble on.
You could try cooked chicken meat, raw chicken wing tips, cooked fish etc.

Fresh chicken and fish (cooked somewhat throughly) ground up with peas and carrots finely shredded with a gravy of pure animal fat mixed in is what u should use as they are very nutritious for kittens and older cats(for an elder cat use less animal fat)

You could feed an all raw diet. I feed one of my cats raw and he is healthier and it is actually cheaper than my cats on kibble.
