No! It could cause it to spread because of the germs or it could get infected. Take a glass of water with sea salt and swish if around like mouth wash. Then spit it out. It's anti-bacterial. Also, you can use Halls or Fishermans Friend medicine. It's germ killing. Also drink lots of water.

Toothpaste may actually CAUSE canker sores. Mine started when I switched to Crest Regular Past, which contains Sodium Lauryl Sulfate, which is known to be associated with canker sores. I had to go online to find that out, though, because the ingredients are not on the tube itself.

It's really, really not a good idea to pop canker sores. What you need to do right now is see your dentist for antibiotics and proper treatment of this pockets of bacterial infection. You can lose your teeth from untreated, and self treated, canker sores.

canker sores are ulcers caused by a fungus. They appear when your body is stressed or if you don't brush your teeth for a few days or if you brush your teeth too hard or if you bite your toungue. The fungus is in the lymph system and the tinyiest cut in your mouth causes the ulcers, especially if you didn't brush your teeth. I looked it up in the dictionary. Listerine cleans them and makes chewing food easier but it hurts like hell when you put the listerine on them. Salt or toothpaste would help them heal.

If you pop them, they could spread. I don't suggest doing that. Put some toothpaste on them when you go to bed. It sounds weird, but it actually works.
