Any learned Christian? Please, have you ever read the Holy Bible?

Hi, dear Christians ..

If I believe that Jesus Christ ( peace be upon him ) is not God, does it mean that I hate him?

Does it mean that I hate him OR I don't respect him?

No ..

As a Muslim, I believe in Jesus as the Messiah, as the Word of the God,

And as the Messenger of the God, the Father ..

I also believe in the Gospels ..

Bible says that God is not man

‘God is not a man’ (Numbers 23:19)

‘For I am God, and not man’ (Hosea 11:9)

Jesus is called a man many times in the Bible

‘a man who has told you the truth’ (John 8:40)

‘Jesus the Nazarene, a man attested to you by God with miracles and wonders and signs which God performed through Him in your midst, just as you yourselves know.’ (Acts 2:22)

‘He will judge the world in righteousness through a man whom He has appointed’ (Acts 17:31)

‘the man Christ Jesus’ (Tim. 2:5)

The Bible says that God is not a son of man

‘God is not a man nor a son of man’ (Numbers 23:19)

The Bible often calls Jesus ‘a son of man’ or ‘the son of man.’

‘so will the son of man be’ (Matthew 12:40)

‘For the son of man is going to come’ (Matthew 16:27)

‘until they see the son of man coming in His kingdom.’ (Matthew 28)

‘But so that you may know that the Son of Man has authority’ (Mark 2:10)

‘because he is the son of man’ (John 5:27)

The Bible says that Jesus denied he is God

Jesus spoke to a man who had called him ‘good,’ asking him, ‘Why do you call me good?  No one is good except God alone.’ (Luke 18:19)

And he said to him, ‘Why are you asking me about what is good?  There is only One who is good; but if you wish to enter into life, keep the commandments.’ (Matthew 19:17)

Jesus did not teach people that he was God

If Jesus had been telling people that he was God, he would have complimented the man.  Instead, Jesus rebuked him, denying he was good, that is, Jesus denied he was God.

The Bible says that God is greater than Jesus

‘My Father is greater than I’ (John 14:28)

‘My father is greater than all.’ (John 10:29)

Jesus can not be God if God is greater than him.  The Christian belief that the Father and son are equal is in direct contrast to the clear words from Jesus.

Jesus never instructed his disciples to worship him

‘When you pray, say Our Father which art in heaven.’ (Luke 11:2)

‘In that day, you shall ask me nothing.  Whatsoever you ask of the Father in my name.’ (John 16:23)

‘The hour cometh and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth; for the Father seeketh such to worship him.’ (John 4:23)

If Jesus was God, he would have sought worship for himself

Since he didn’t, instead he sought worship for God in the heavens, therefore, he was not God.

Jesus worshipped the only true God

‘that they might know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom you have sent.’ (John 17:3)

‘he continued all night in prayer to God.’ (Luke 6:12)

‘Just as the son of man did not come to be served, but to serve’ (Matthew 20:28)

How did Jesus pray to God?

‘he fell with his face to the ground and prayed, ‘My Father’ (Matthew 26:39)

‘During the days of Jesus’ life on earth, he offered up prayers and petitions with loud cries and tears to the one who could save him from death, and he was heard because of his reverent submission.’ (Hebrews 5:7)

Who was Jesus praying to when he fell on his face?

Was Jesus crying in tears to himself pleading to be saved from death? No man, sane or insane, prays to himself!  Surely the answer must be a resounding ‘No.’ Jesus was praying to ‘the only true God.’ Jesus was the servant of the One Who sent him.  Can there be a clearer proof that Jesus was not God?

------------------------------

Note:

For Those who aren't Christians,

Please respect the Christianity and our dear Christians ..

It is not acceptable to offend them ..

they believe in the God, the Creator exactly like us Muslims ..

We both believe and love the Christ Jesus ..

It looks like you have studied out the Bible too.

Your point being the same one that most of the Jews have for not accepting Jesus as Messiah also. Though your definition of Messiah (Mahdi) is a bit different than ours.

I believe I read your comments (and Scriptures, than you for quoting them rightly) are to make a case that we who are Christians are idolising a man where God is not a man. It's a good argument. I commend you for it. Though there are errors, important errors in your understanding.

The question that brings us together for me to answer what you have asked asks "Please, have you ever read the Holy Bible?"

Answer, yes. Quite a few times, also I used sound recordings of it to listen to it outside of studying it many times too. Because the Old Testament (Old Covenant) Bible was written for a hearing audience (study) more than for visual whereas the Greek language (on which the New Testament comes from, as well as the English I had to use at first, ie KJV) is primarily to absorb by reading.

That said, what you are not understanding of the references to Jesus (I notice you do NOT quote the first chapter of the Book of John) is what "the Word of God" is.

Therein lies the problem, for you, for Muslims around the world, for Jews (who will not accept Jesus) too.

You say, "As a Muslim, I believe in Jesus as the Messiah, as the Word of the God,

And as the Messenger of the God, the Father ..

I also believe in the Gospels "

But you can't IF you do not accept him also as Lord, as God's own Word Incarnate.

That word "incarnate" says it all. It is because he is God's own voice/mouth/word/communication come to earth as a man (there is not doubt Jesus was a man) that makes him "God's Word" and messenger (aka prophet) and Messiah. A Messiah is ore than just "a" deliverer. A (The) Messiah a king. But so much more. There can be NO greater prophet than God's own mouth refashioned into a human being and sent to this earth to pay for what none of us ever can/could, the price to buy back our souls from Shaitan.

Your "prophet" was a man too. He was not our God's voice. I do not say Jesus was all of God. Fools do that. Jesus was so truly submitted to the Most High, the only One God who truly does exist that God flowed through him fully. That is why he said "I am in the Father and the Father is in me."

If you revere words on a page, how much more so is it right to call Lord the very "Word of God" incarnate. Humans have always been allowed to worship God's Word as God, because God's Word is alive and the one time only that God allowed for it to be "dead" was for the three days in which Jesus as in the grave calling those gone before with a gospel they had not yet heard.

Then, he rose again, never more to be impaired. This the One True God did for you, for me, and for all who will listen to Him.

Read the gospel of John, chapter one, again. God's Word was not a man UNTIL Jesus was fashioned in his mothers womb, as promised.

Muslims are not the only ones who notice the hypocrisy of the west. We LIVE here and must be saved too. That's (the real) Jesus (Y'shua) does.

    Peace be upon you.

Sure, i have and no, it meant nothing to me because it is within the New testament and i do not comply with the brand new testament. I don't care what you say, it won't work considering the fact that i'm Jewish! I do not need any desire to be whatever else. I'll say it once more...I know you're imagined to spreak the Gospel, however about 98% of individuals who are trying to do this on R&S are rather bad at it.

God says - we are made in the image and likeness of Him (God)! (Genesis 1:27)

So can God appear to us in the image and likeness of Himself? Of course! It is ridiculous to say God cannot do this.

Did God ever visit us before “disguised” as a human? Sure He has! Anyone with a High School knowledge of the Jewish Scriptures will see this.

    1. Genesis 12:7-9 – God Himself (Yod Hey Vav Hey) appeared to Abraham.

    2. Genesis 18:1-33–One day, Abraham had some visitors: two angels and God Himself. They looked NORMAL to Abraham though. He invited them to come to his home, and he and Sarah entertained them. The Scriptures specifically says in verse 13 that God Himself was one of the visitors. (Yod Hey Vav Hey)

    3. Genesis 32:22-30–Jacob wrestled with what appeared to be a man, but was actually God (vv. 28-30). Verse 30 specifically says Jacob saw God and wrestled with Him! (Ever see a father wrestling with his child?)

    4. Exodus 3:2 - 4:17–God appeared to Moses in the form of a burning bush, telling him exactly what He wanted him to do.

    5. Exodus 24:9-11–God (Yod Hey Vav Hey) appeared to Moses with Aaron and his sons and the seventy elders. Verse 10 specifically says they saw His feet!

I could go on and on, but there is no doubt that God can appear to us (if and when He wills) in the image and likeness of Himself – a human! We are made in His image and likeness the Torah clearly states.

That is who Jesus (Yeshua in Hebrew) is. God visiting us in human form for a season.

The Jewish prophet - Zechariah 12:10 states:

" They (the Jewish people) will look on me, the one they have **pierced**, and they will mourn for him..." (Zech 12:10).

God spoke those words through the prophet Zechariah. God Himself is speaking and speaks of the being the one that gets pierced.

Yet the Jewish Messiah Jesus was pierced by soldier's spear! Who was pierced, God or Yeshua (Jesus)? Since Yeshua (Jesus) is deity incarnate (God visiting us) this puzzle is solved.

God has visited us in the person of Yeshua (Jesus). That is why rejecting Him is the same a rejecting God.

Isaiah chapter 9:6 in a very famous Messianic portion talks about the Messiah being “Immanuel” (Hebrew for God with us).

Dr. Michael Brown covers this way more in depth.

Too much to list here on YA.

    --------------------

Dr. Michael Brown has given definitive answers to virtually all of the arguments using Rabbinic (Talmudic) sources and a correct interpretation of scripture that even the ancient Rabbis agreed with! (Not that they believed in Yeshua, but Dr. Brown shows they understood certain passages as Messianic prophecies).

Read a great 5 VOLUME SET – ANSWERING JEWISH OBJECTIONS TO JESUS!

It will stop EVERY Jewish unbeliever’s misinterpretations and objections based upon the solid evidence of the Hebrew text. An amazing five volume set by Dr. Michael Brown (New York University, Ph.D., Near Eastern Languages)

Jesus is the Son of the one who is God. Jesus prayed to his Father, because Jesus is not God, who is his Father. Jesus made it very clear that his Father is greater than himself, and the apostles understood the message of Jesus. We should consider their example.

    Ephesians 1:2-3,17

2 Grace be to you, and peace, from God our Father, and from the Lord Jesus Christ.

3 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ:

17That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give unto you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him:

I'm a Christian and I know Jesus is *not* God. He's God's Son, but in no way equal to God. Your scriptural references are solid proof of that. You're right, if "Christians" actually took the time to read their Bible, they would know this truth.

Source(s): One of Jehovah's Witnesses--the faith who likewise knows Jesus is not God.

Wow I am a Catholic and I must say I never really looked at it that way it does make a lot of sense to me because I have always felt that Jesus was simply a messenger from God. I also believe that Jesus was the wisest man that ever walked the earth, unfortunately many do not take heed to his words of wisdom. To answer your question yes I do read the bible and thanks for a great question.

Peace be with you on your journey of life.

The Father and the Son < Jesus > and the Holy Spirit have always existed. The heaven lies and the

earth and mankind was spoke into existence. The Holy Bible is very clear on that .you sound to be a decent person , but you need to seek your Creator and not a religion for God hates all religions

and without the Holy Spirit you can not understand the mind of God and no man made traditions and even good works can not bring you into commune with our Holy Creator . Only Christ Jesus can be the Bridge to God , no disrespect but your Mohammad is dead and will be judged at time end like everyone one else , for the true Christians we will be judged for our position in Heaven and for the ones who rejected Jesus as our Only Savior they will be judged on how much suffering in Hell they will have for eternity The good news it does not matter your Background everyone is welcomed to Christ for we all fall short of the glory of God

Thank you. I am a churchgoing agnostic. I do not believe in the Trinity and your excellent research supports my view on that and which is the same viewpoint of the Christian churches that are not "Trinitarian", that do accept Jesus as the "son" of God but not as divine in his own right.

There is much in Islam I do not agree with, especially since modern Islam has seriously distorted Muhammad's original teaching of respect for others beliefs, especially those of the "Peoples of the Book", i.e. Christians and Jews. But I gotta agree with Islam in that Jesus is NOT "god" (which some Christian sects also believe) and that there is no such thing as "Original Sin", which is totally NOT biblical.

    Blessings on your Journey!

You're making this way too complicated. Jesus is the Son of God who died for the sins of those who believe in him. Keep it simple. And Jack below me, you have no idea what you're talking about and I read the Bible every single day.
