So what do you think of the new yahoo home page format?
Personally, I think it's absolutely horrible. It's hard to read, difficult to scroll though, hard to quickly scan to decide what you want to read, I hate that the center scrolls down and the sides do not, and even if you WANT to read the preliminary text, the gray on white background is difficult to discern.
I wholeheartedly think Yahoo should return to the previous home page format. What do you think?

It is horrible. The colors are painful to look at. The endless scrolling is as annoying as "The Song that Never Ends." The stories are disorganized and the extra description takes up space. There is no regard for the fact that many had personalized the previous homepage to meet their needs. The set-up looks like a grade school workbook. It is no longer customizable. The juvenile look is perfect for teenagers on smart phones. I no longer use Yahoo homepage as my homepage.

Agreed. Especially difficult to wade through the uncategorized news stories. Government, Lindsay Lohan woes, death sentences, Rob Kardashian's weight gain and extreme winter weather are all thrown together into one sloppy bucket of news. Informal workplace poll reveals similar sentiment.

I think it is horrible too. I wish they would go back to the old format. If it stays like this I will not be frequenting the Yahoo anymore.

Who are the idiots who re-format these sites? I HATE the new home page! I don't want to spend time scrolling through stories that mean nothing to me.
Fire the jerks who designed this new homepage. Better yet, FIRE the EXECS who were stupid enough to approve it!

I believe their attempt to drive more traffic to their site might be working ... people want to see how NOT to design a webpage. Didn't the CEO originally come from Google?
Wonder if ... nah ... well, maybe ... Nothing like sabotage to take Yahoo! down ...
