Paul, if you dress up as a hostess then you probably won't get the job!!! (j/k) How you dress depends on the restaurant their clientele. The site below is a "How To" for both host & hostess. There is a picture of a hostess, but I don't care for what she's wearing. In some of the classier joints, the hostess wears a long black skirt & a tailored suit-type jacket or a sparkly vest. Just remember, that the host/hostess sets the tone for the diners for the night. So, looking professional, treating the customers with respect, & keeping the restaurant running smoothly is your main goal. One place I eat is kinda rustic & the hostess is usually wearing a denim skirt & a checkered cowgirl style blouse. It's not very classy; but it suits her surroundings!!!

Probably because you're a douche who wears Dolce & Gabbana and then brags about how much money your dad makes compared to the hostess at some crappy restaurant...

White or black shirt, maybe a pearl type necklace, hair up in a bun, pencil skirt in black, black tights and black kitten heels or flats!
