What are the Pros and Cons of enlisting in either the Army or the Navy?
Im 17 and Im going to enlist in May but and I've pretty much narrowed my decision down to and Army MP or a Navy Gunners Mate. I would just like to know some of the pros and cons of both branches such as rate of promotions, quality of living, deployment, location, and anything else you can think of.

The biggest factor you should be considering is what you'll do when you leave the armed forces. There are loads of job seekers who left the forces with useless skills and qualifications. I'd go with Navy, though it really depends on what you have planned for when you leave the forces.

You'd want to take a position that you can work on civy street aka civilian world. Military Police is a good job because when you get sick of the military you can still be cop. Or learn a trade that is transferable to real world skills. Anything to do with weapons won't translate and those jobs are riskier.

The army meets the enemy face to face. The navy from a distance.
When all else is said and done, that's the biggest difference.
(There are also more spastics and homosexuals in the Navy - all of them)
