What is a reasonable price for house cleaning?
per hour? square foot?
The person I'm thinking of hiring is asking $25 per hour, plus a sm mileage fee of .25 cents per mile. Brings most of her own supplies except for a vacuum. Dishes and laundry service is an extra 10 each...
Is she asking a reasonable price?

If your house can be cleaned in 2 hours that is good.
Too high for an all day job. Some cleaners are slow.
It would be best to call different cleaners and get their prices.
What does she clean with? It is best to have your own cleaning supplies.
Prices are different in different areas.
Source(s): Experienced with house cleaning in the past. A set price is good. That way a house cleaner will not be slow on the job. - peg4cdaLv 58 years ago
Prices can range from $10/hr to $25/hr depending on where you live, with big cities being more costly than rural areas. Special jobs, like laundry, oven/window cleaning would be extra, but IMO, dishes should not be.
I think $25 is high, but maybe it's the going rate in your area.

Depends on how dirty your house is and how long it will take to clean. You can get a lot of cleaning done it just 2 hours.

Only if they are insured, bonded a legitimate tax paying company. Otherwise, cut that in half and no mileage.
