should i brake up with my boyfriend?

We have been together for 5 months. I feel like i love him but he doesn't really love me back. We almost never hang out. In school he walks me to my classes but he doesn't go out of his way like Asking me to do something with him. The other day he even told me his ex-girlfriends best qualities. Its really hard and i have thought a lot about it. When i'm with him i feel like i love him but when i'm home i don't feel the same way. And when we talk over Facebook he doesn't seem engaged in the conversation. We laugh and have fun and on the few occasions that we do hang out i feel head over heals in love but then again i find myself a few days after the lovey feeling has worn off thinking i could do better.
