The notion that global warming is a hoax to raise taxes is a weak and feeble excuse dreamt up by people who have no concept of either science or economics.

Since when has any government ever needed an excuse to raise taxes? If they want to increase revenues they simply put up taxes, they don’t create an elaborate scheme involving millions and millions of people and every government in the world. Do you honestly think for one moment, that every single government in the world, including those that are bitterly opposed to each other, could work together without anyone ever breaking ranks. And why for example, would the Saudis conduct their own research and conclude that global warming was real – they don’t even pay any tax over there and have nothing to gain from global warming being real.

If global warming isn’t real then please explain how life exists on Earth. If you deny that humans are causing global warming then you have to also deny that natural warming exists as well – the mechanisms are identical, the only thing that differs are the sources of greenhouse gases. So please provide an alternative explanation for natural warming, bearing in mind that you will need to rewrite the universal laws of physics in the process. I look forward to reading your alternative explanation of the universe and everything in it.

Taxation does not require public "acceptance." Are you consulted about fuel, hotel, car rental, etc. taxes? Have tax payers accepted every tax increase passed by Congress?

Climate Realist has already provided links to real data that shows global warming is a scientific fact. Quite apart from the science, there are no doubt some who are trying to profit from GW and perhaps do nothing useful to solve the real problem. If you don't like the measures proposed, throw a better idea into the political arena. Politicians have always found ways to tax the weak to profit the powerful. They don't need GW to keep doing this. Remember, just because you are paranoid does not mean they aren't out to get you. (THEY ARE).

It may be used for that purpose I suppose, but it is a real concern. I am old and even I have noticed changes in our environment. Under the dynamo theory of the Earth"s magnetic field, global warming is threat to the continued existence of mankind.

The Antarctic is the most unchanging environment on Earth. Long term temperature measurements in the heart of Antarctica suggest we have ~110% chance of extinction in the next century due to greatly increased volcanic activity. The percentage above 100% relates to the chance of survival for population sizes which are not statistically significant. In any event, inbreeding would be a concern at these population levels.

What you are suggesting is that thousands of scientist around the world are working together in order to raise taxes AND bring about a lower standard of living for all. (including themselves.) REALLY?

The facts are that CO2 is a greenhouse gas, that without greenhouse gases the earth average temperature would be 33C colder (a giant snowball) and that we have added 40% more CO2 to the atmosphere. There is not one scientist who denies these facts.

This "question" is further proof that confirms the recent study that claims climate change deniers are either extreme free marketeers or conspiracy theorists.
