Don't you just love it when liberals show their stupidity?

Two recent questions asked on Y!A:

Why do cons complain about the sive of government?

Do cons now say Republicans in Congress don't bare any responsibility for their decisions?

For starters, what is a "sive"? Is it like a sieve, which is something people use to drain pasta?

Secondly, is this guy suggesting Republicans in Congress need to get naked for some reason?

I'm sorry, but when you can't use the English language properly it makes you look like a moron -- especially when you're criticizing others and thereby imply that YOU are somehow superior...

As a socialist, not a liberal, I do think liberals make mistakes.

But the spelling errors you mention [if they're really by "liberals," and not conservative trolls - as others suggest] prove nothing about "liberals" as a group.

Your question suffers from the known logical fallacy of "false generalization." It may possibly also suffer from the related logical fallacy of "guilt by association."

It's an old debater's trick, probably known to the orators of ancient Athens in 400 BC, to blame a large & diverse group of people for the failings of just a few.

But as the logicians point out, this is really a cheap trick; it proves nothing. If one or even hundreds of "liberals" prove that they're bad spellers, this says nothing about countless others who may be good spellers.

The same is true for conservatives, obviously.

To answer your loaded question, I don't "love" it when liberals or conservatives make spelling mistakes.

English is a hard language to spell, but I was raised by liberal & some conservative school teachers & my pushy liberal mother to spell words correctly.

Personally, I don't like it when anyone spells things wrong. Although many intelligent people actually don't spell well, and don't type consistently enough to avoid making typos on the Web -- as I do myself sometimes.

Politics has little to do with what or how much you learn. Libs are no more stupid than cons when it comes to the English language. Most college students can no longer spell and few recognize a lot of terms that were popular just 25 years ago. Now they are talking about not teaching cursive writing and only using printing or computers instead. To me it has always meant that you had very little education if you had to print your name. Stupid is as stupid does and there is a lot of that going around these days, regardless of political leanings.

By the way, the bear/bare you are looking for is bear. Look it up and then look up bare.

you can drain pasta in a colander, not a sieve.

i don't drain my pasta anyway. I use tongs to lift the noodles out of the pot, then add them to the sauce i am cooking in a smaller pot. i like to add a litttle bit of pasta water to the small pot, because that helps the sauce stick well to the pasta. It's an Italian tradition.

"Implying" not "imply". Verb tense agreements ya know?

Now what you were you saying about criticizing others while not properly using the language?

    crying about typos...

that's the best you have for "stupidity"? really?

I'm sorry, but when you can't make a valid point beyond crying about typos on an internet message board... it makes you look like A COMPLETE AND TOTAL TOOL AND AN IDIOT...

and you took the time to make an entire question about it?

next time you have a typo, HELL'S COMING YOUR WAY BUDDY... get ready, if you type enough, they will happen...

EDIT: yeah, you should have used quotation marks for those questions? what a complete moron...lol

EDIT: do you know what I love... how liberals didn't flip out in the question when you said "ove" instead of "love" (see above) and acted like adults and just answered your question...

keep talking... you're embarrassing yourself... LOLOLOLOLOL

So you equate poor typing or spelling with stupidity. That's absurd. In addition, you could easily assemble a collection of a thousand spelling errors by conservatives on this forum.

    Here's another one.

"Don't you just ove how "fair and balanced" the liberal media is?"

How does one "ove"? Oh wait, that one wasn't from a liberal, it was from the person who asked THIS question!

I don't think that you are a moron just because you made that error, but apparently YOU do!

If one guy saying something stupid is indicative, in your mind, of the mind set of anyone who shares his political views, then what do the truly ridiculous comments made by conservatives on this board say about you? And please, don't pretend that conservatives don't make fools of themselves on a daily basis. We both know that would be bullshit.

hmmm i wonder if we're witnessing the next big republican talkie point:

a weighty debate on what you use to drain your pasta...

gratz and you get a star as this really is more relevant than most of what republics talk about these days...

Oh sure, there are stupid people all over the world and both liberal and republican have crack pots.

Sad that you only pointed out the liberal side. Looks like you could be one of those people yourself.
