A question about car insurance?
So I'm planning on buying a car in a week or so (hopefully), and want to know how long I have to insure it. Do I have to sort it out when I buy the car or is there an amnesty period? I heard there was a 48 hour period in which to sort it out.

If you have previous insurance coverage (from an auto policy) you will have 30 days to add the new vehicle.
