Is the anime show "Death Note" any good?

Is Death Note a good show worth watching? I like other anime shows like the dragonball, Dbz and Gt, Inuyasha, Inuyasha the final act, yuyu hakusho, and Bleach.Does death note have a fair amount of action in it? Is it long?

what is it about?

It is a very good anime and very intense... i love it and was very sad when it ended.. :( soo... you really should watch it..

It has alot of action in it..!

here is a summary for ya.. Light Yagami is an extremely intelligent young man who resents the crime and corruption in the world. His life undergoes a drastic change when he discovers a mysterious notebook, known as the "Death Note", lying on the ground. The Death Note's instructions claim that if a human's name is written within it, that person shall die. Light is initially skeptical of the notebook's authenticity, but after experimenting with it, Light realizes that the Death Note is real. After meeting with the previous owner of the Death Note, a shinigami named Ryuk, Light seeks to become "the God of the New World" by passing his keen judgment on those he deems to be evil or who get in his way. A shinigami's Death Note is a notebook that can kill any human whose name is written in it. All Death Notes are governed by the same set of rules determining the extents and limitations of the Notes' powers.

it only has 37 episodes and plus the rewrite thing are 39..

Genre: Mystery, Detective, Psychological thriller, Supernatural thriller, Dark fantasy

    I think it had 37 episodes ...

The anime death note doesn't have the action that you get in the animes you mentioned since it is not an anime about combat/ fighting etc.

Death Note is one of the top3 animes ever made (pretty much) and it's about a super intellectual guy ( light yagami) who finds a notebook and when he writes a persons name in it the guy dies. He can also make him die in some specific way.

Now after gaining this "Death Note" he starts cleaning the world of criminals trying to become something close to "god".

But there is a detective named "L" (beat detective on the world xD ) that tries to stop him since light is killing people and becoming a criminal himself ...

I loved the anime ! If you like a dark and twisted plot then give it a try ;)

Personally I think that it is a must see anime !!!!!

I haven't watched it, but I read the manga. This used to be almost always my opinion: The inspiration used to be just right and had a variety of fine, developed characters who all went by way of proper growths and transformations. Half of the time I used to be rooting for the bad man just since I appreciated him, and the other 1/2 cheering for the nice man due to the fact that he is freaking awesome as good. You become liking as a rule the entire characters and it's good should you like gazing two rivals play intellect games with every different. It's superb. On the very least, I endorse studying it. I do not forget as I learn in the direction of the end it began to pull and get slightly boring, but I can not affirm that for the anime. I've noticeable the first two episodes (subbed and dubbed) and that i appreciated what I saw. Hope that helps you.

    Yes! I really recommend it!

It's one of the few anime that follows the manga almost completely (although it did still leave some parts out), and i LOVE the plot and the characters.

To be honest though, it does not have the happiest ending ever, and there's a fair amount of blood and violence. If you don't like those, then maybe you wouldn't like it?

I'm just saying that because I know the plots in Bleach always end in a relatively happy manner :)

    Here's the plot:

Yagami Light is a 17-year-old genius from Japan who is tired of his life, school, and the state of the world as he knows it. One day, on the way home from class, Light stumbles upon a dark notebook with "Death Note" written on the front. Intrigued by its appearance, Light reads the first few sentences, only to find out that it states that anyone whose name is written inside will die. Discarding it as a joke, Light continues his daily activities. Soon after though, his human curiosity takes the better of him and prompts Light to try the notebook, discovering the truth behind first sentence. Now, with power in his hands, Yagami Light is on a quest to change the world and become God of the New World. His path to holy status won't be easy however, as another genius, known as L, is working against Light's beliefs and Light himself. Who will win this power of Gods between humans?

I really recommend reading the manga first, but I think the anime's still really good even if you don't! :)

Death Note is a really good anime. Definitely worth watching. It has quite a bit of action in it, it's also pretty funny. It's not too terribly long, not nearly as long as bleach or inuyasha. It's about a boy name Light who finds a notebook by his school with the label "Death Note". He takes it and discovers it's powers when a shinigami named Ryuk comes in. The death note kills anyone who's name is written in it. Light at first uses it for good, but like most powerful people, he eventually becomes corrupt with power. Than L, a world-famous detective, comes in and tries to solve all these deaths. Light eventually becomes known as "Kira", and so forth. You should watch it.
