Do Atheists have any business being in the "Religion & Spirituality" forum?

Why do people think that this is a section just for them, it's a place to discuss the subject, not just for people who have a religion.

First of all, this is call religion AND spirituality. The absence of one does not entail the absence of the others. Just because I don't go to a special building on Sunday to listen to some guy interpret a book I could read myself, doesn't mean I am not capable of having a spiritual dimension.

Second, just because somebody doesn't have a car, doesn't mean they can't take an interest in them.

Third... this is usually asked by fundamentalists, who would like free reign to peddle their awful, awful nonsense on an unsuspecting public. Since your brand of religious fanaticism is one of the most destructive forces in society right now, forget it. We're here to protect the innocent in that regard.

We don't lack religion or spirituality by definition. You should learn what words mean before you make a fool of yourself again. =)

I thought you lot enjoyed being persecuted. How can you feel persecuted if there's nobody here to persecute you?

I enjoy seeing the atheists reply to questions about God and prayer and then how they blow a gasket with rage about how much they hate religion and everyone who belongs to an organized religion

When one goes to answers theres a bunch of questions in a bunch of categories. Someone in your category yells out HEY ATHEISTS ...

What's an atheist to do. Besides you act like we're atheists because we know nothing about religion, like our parents never dragged us to church for 18 years.

Doesn't stop those who "specialise" in Religion and Spirituality from giving their opinion on science and politics.

Yes. We still have views on religion and spirituality. Why do theists so often object to our expressing those views?
