For processing power, looking into the 3990k and the 7970. Maybe go dual in crossfire with the 7970s. Then get a 3TB internal HDD at 10,000 rpm and an externeal with 10 TB or something. Also get an SSD with 256 GB. That's a top knotch computer. Just add some 16GB RAM, a 750-1000W PSU with 90+ gold and an excess amount of LED lights.

HP Envy dv7-7227cl is an incredible workstation and it quite is far less high priced. I also have a dv7-7010us with the comparable processor and it quite is large and the battery lasts 5 or 6 hours of non-supply up utilization. i do no longer propose domicile windows 8.
