1 AnswerMathematics4 years agoHelp identify a car I saw? *Vehicle seemed like a sports car *The logo was red. *The logo lit up when the brakes were pressed?
For the logo, it was essentially a brake light.
Anyone have any idea?
Otherwise the vehicle was black but I can t remember anything else about it. I think the light-up logo was the rarest feature of this vehicle.
2 AnswersOther - Cars & Transportation4 years agoDoes a Young Soldier need $400K SGLI? No dependents.?
No dependents. Do I really need $400K SGLI? I don't have staggering debt ($15k student loans). Car is paid off. Rent an apartment so no difficulty in settling that.
I've been thinking to cut back to $50K. $400K just seems excessive.
It's a difference of $25/mo. Certainly not a staggering loss but I imagine there is benefit to eliminating any recursive unnecessary expenses.
TLDR: No dependents. Do I really need $400K life insurance? Can I cut it down?
Personal Finance4 years agoTajikistan's Presidential Term Limits?
Can someone explain this?
I see that President Rahmon has served as president since 1992 and was, in 2013, reelected for his 4th term as president.
However, on the CIA World Fact Book it states that presidential term limits are 2x 7 year terms.
Further, they write that Rahmon himself removed the term limit in 2016.
How has he served for so long and why did he have to explicitly remove term limits if he has already served beyond the limits?
3 AnswersElections4 years agoTransfer undergrad courses to graduate?
I m a statistics major applying for a graduate program in Applied Statistics. Two of the required courses I ve completed as an undergrad for undergraduate credit.
Do I get to transfer those courses and count them towards my overall total credits? I.e. if the two classes add up to 8 credit hours and the program requires 40 hours, can I say I have 32 left?
I ll talk to an adviser but I wanted to hear from here first if this is probable.
1 AnswerHigher Education (University +)4 years agoDo military officers changing branches of service (I.e. Marine Corps to Air Force or Army to Navy) retain their rank?
NOTE: I don't mean any type of release to a different branch of service. I mean in the case of an officer who has completed the terms of his contract (e.g. Army Reserves Captain ETSing after his eight years).
So the O3 decides he wants to commission into the Navy. Does he start as an O1?
5 AnswersMilitary4 years agoIf someone is currently drilling with on branch of the military, can they attend ROTC in a different branch?
E.g., Army E4 with 3 or 4 years of service gets accepted to a university that offers Navy or Air Force ROTC.
Can they join one of those ROTC programs or must they stick with the Army (at least until the contract expires and they go IRR)?
1 AnswerMilitary4 years agoMy letters keep getting delivered with "No name No mail" written in pen on the outside...why?
I don t understand what is happening. The address is abundantly clear. the name is written and shown....Why would I keep getting this written on my envelopes? No one else has their names written on the mail boxes and even then I don t logically see why that would be relevant if I clearly have the address (including apartment number) listed.
Any ideas?
2 AnswersFriends5 years agoAddressing rank in The U.S. Army? Master Sergeant [Last name]/ Sergeant [Last Name] vs. no name included?
When speaking to a MSG or 1SG and above I ve always noticed cadets simply addressing by rank and no last name. E.g., "Good afternoon Massarnt"
Does this apply for ranks of Sergeant First Class and below? Is it more important to address as, "Sergeant [Last Name]" or is it acceptable to still just say "Sergeant?"

I ve read that reminders require integration with the calendar or something but how do I activate customize? Thanks for your replies.
1 AnswerGoogle5 years agoAt a gun range, how should I carry my rifle before getting to the lanes? Does it matter?
The person behind the desk handed the rifle with the barrel pointing up. Should I just carry it this way all the way into the shooting range? I ve always held my rifles with the barrel pointing down and gotten yelled at when my barrel has pointed up.
Does it even matter? I don t want to flag someone so I guess logically if I had to pick one it d be to just continue holding it the way it was handed to me until I reach my lane?
Maybe I m overthinking :/
12 AnswersHunting5 years agoDoes Christianity not Contradict the Torah? Supposedly Islam does..?
I got into an argument with someone and I asked, "how do you know that Christianity is the correct religion? After all there are only 1.7B believers on a planet of near 7 billion."
The response I got was that the Qu'ran contradicts the Torah which is the oldest written religion or something along those lines.
But I'd prefer an answer within religion and not, "there is no God." I don't believe but I obviously can't use that argument with very religious people.
4 AnswersReligion & Spirituality5 years agoWhen soldiers breach, why does the point always go right?
Doesn t it make more sense for him to always go in the opposite direction of the door s hinges? This way he can use the door as concealment and avoid being shot from behind if someone hides in the left corner.
4 AnswersMilitary5 years agoHow can I find older wage and employment data?
On the Bureau of Labor Statistics and the Dept. of Labor websites there is data from 2015 to today. I was hoping to analyze data from before this year. Is there an archive section I'm not finding for some reason?

I remember Macbeth running through the castle as it was getting bombed or something of that sort. It seemed like some old Russian military uniforms. Anyone know what movie it was?
2 AnswersMovies5 years agoInterested in becoming an Army Civil Affairs Officer?
There are a million and one questions on this and I understand the basics of how to branch to Civil Affairs. My question lies in my initial branching; Is there a particular branch which will make me more desirable for a CA unit and/or better prepared?
Ultimately CA is definitely the type of work I want to do (and if not the Army I would like to participate in the Peace Corps with a focus on Economic Rehabilitation)

1 AnswerFinancial Aid6 years agoLegal Question on Stolen Valor? Federal vs State?
I'm sure you might be aware that some states still have laws claiming that dressing in military uniform is illegal and you can be subject to prosecution. I believe even claiming to be a soldier while in civilian attire (assuming you've never served) is illegal in some of these states.
Now, as of 2013 the Stolen Valor Act was amended claiming that you are subject to criminal charges if you fraudulently gain from the impersonation or claim to have received a set medal, cross, or combat badge.
-My belief is that states cannot imprison an individual for dressing up as a soldier or claiming to be a soldier unless they financially benefit.
I made reference to US Constitution Article 6 Clause 2 (Supremacy Clause) and general federal preemption laws.
-The individual with whom I argued claims that states are merely "adding onto" the federal law and thus still applicable. Thus, The states can still detain you for wearing the uniform.
Note: I'm not seeking legal advice as to whether or not I can impersonate a soldier. I merely want to know how the law applies in this situation.
2 AnswersLaw & Ethics6 years agoUnderage minor drinking law in Stop and Identify states? Slightly complex question?
Say officers are at the door and are let onto the premise. The scenario is a typical college party at the start of the semester. 21+ y/o hosts with lots of underage minors.
Now officers are asking for ID's, etc. They get to, we'll call him, Michael. Michael drank a couple of beers. In other words, he appears coherent and one could not determine that he is intoxicated simply by observing him.
The officer asks for Michael's ID but he refuses on the premise that;
a. He didn't bring it.
b. He doesn't want to show it because officers can't prove that he is breaking a law.
The issue, though, is that all around Michael people are showing ID's and getting ticketed for underage drinking.
Does that implicate Michael or does he still have a right to refuse to answer questions and present ID?
1 AnswerLaw Enforcement & Police6 years agoArmy 35 MI jobs. Probably mostly Foxtrot and Lima?
Sorry for the vague title. I have been looking at these different intel positions for so long.
My question is about the jobs themselves. As a 35F or 35L do I take part in understanding and/or monitoring political groups in foreign lands?
I'm very interested in politics and the system of governance around the world and would really want to be a part of the team that is involved with this.
I apologize if my question can't be answered due to security clearance but I'd be happy with any information about Military Intel.
