Army 35 MI jobs. Probably mostly Foxtrot and Lima?

Sorry for the vague title. I have been looking at these different intel positions for so long.

My question is about the jobs themselves. As a 35F or 35L do I take part in understanding and/or monitoring political groups in foreign lands?

I'm very interested in politics and the system of governance around the world and would really want to be a part of the team that is involved with this.

I apologize if my question can't be answered due to security clearance but I'd be happy with any information about Military Intel.

  • 35L are counter intel guys. Their job is to protect classify information, personnel and other assets from potential inside threats. They will also conduct screenings for foreigners working on US bases. There maybe a need to understand/monitor political groups if it's necessary for your case. 35F would deal with intel collected from collectors. Understanding of history, groups, etc is important in both fields but a little more on the 35F side.
