Student loans and repayment: If I leave school for over six months and then decide to return to school will I still have to pay off loans?

Or will it sort of pause while I'm in school and pick back up when I graduate? I know I won't have the six month grace but will I be able to study without repayment?

You have a six month grace period, and then you'll need to start paying back your loans.

When you do start classes again, you contact the loan company and file a deferment. Then your loans will again be deferred until after you finish school.

But in the gap between the grace period and when you return to school, you'll have to start paying back your loans.
