Tattoo before and aftercare.?
This year is my year of getting inked. I've already started a large piece on my leg, and another on my torso. Thing is, I need to know what's the best treatment for before and after. I used Hustle Butter, which is amazing, but also really expensive. Does anybody know of anything that is good, but not as costly?
Many thanks

Whatsupdoc....the question was whut can be used to care for a tattoo...not your opinion and whut can go wrong with it...
Anyways...Aquaphor is one of the best things to use for healing tattoos. Works great! At Walmart it's about $4-$5 for a tube. After 3-5 days you can start using an unscented dye free lotion, like Lubriderm.

Personally, I reckon tattoos are a turn-off as I dislike seeing some of the idiotic drawings people cover themselves with. I think they show two things: 1, That you are vain and want people to look at you (vanity is a cardinal sin), or 2. You feel somehow inferior as you are and need 'enhancement'.
It is not clever, and you don't see intelligent people with tattoos.
The more important aspect is that they are not recommended by the medical profession, as they can hide skin cancer or malignant melonoma. The former can kill if not treated, and tattoos make diagnosis and treatment much harder, the latter can migrate in the body for 10-20 years, and when it re-emerges life expectancy is 6 months. For your own safety you are advised to have them removed.
I hope you have considered the risks. Malignant melanoma is no laughing matter - you risk it at your peril.

My fiance and I have numerous tattoos and only use aquaphor. It's cheap and you can get it at any grocery store. It's a lot like vasline and we use it like after a shower and when it gets dry. Best of luck!
