This is incredibly naïve. Did Democrats give the opposition president everything he wanted when they held congress? Of course not. The parties want different things. They both want things to be better but disagree fundamentally about how to get there. Why should a Republican vote for a bill he thinks is bad for the country? Just because the other guy is in the White House?

We don't elect a King. The President doesn't get to pass everything and anything he likes. What's more, the President has been EVERY BIT as unwilling to compromise as the Republicans. You complain about revenue being off the table, what about Obama pulling any meaningful entitlement reform off the table? And by the way, revenue WAS NOT off the table, they agree to a tax increase a couple months ago.

And the notion that the Republicans are servants of the rich is naïve. Close to 50% of the country voted Republican. Do you honestly think 50% of the country votes for the interests of 2%? That claim makes no sense. They vote that way because they recognize that the economy is interconnected and when you destroy incentives by attacking one minority group, you injure the whole.
