How to configure my computer to an earlier date?

I downloaded an update of Java and now I have a mess. I'm not sure if it was a virus or just something that is designed to be incredibly annoying. I have pop-ups everywhere. It's shutting down my yahoo page. It's basically a mess. I have a little red head (iminent) all over. I removed it in my programs but the problem is still here. A while ago someone showed how me how I could get the computer back to an earlier date and I can't remember how. Please help. Thank you!!

Start > All programs > Accessories > System Tools > System Restore.....click on that then pick a day or two before Java was installed.........

If you'd like to make an attempt at disinfection, or you restore to an earlier date and you still have the problem...

    Try this:

    Junkware Removal Tool:

    AdwCleaner:

This video shows the products being used:

Once you’ve run them, download the free version of Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware, to try and ensure that nothing has been left behind. Install it and get updates, then run a full scan:

    Hope this helps.

Go to "start", then use search and put in keywords "system restore". Select that after it's found in search and pick a time you want to go back to. There's a better way, but this is the simple.

Java isn't supposed to do what you've described- maybe you've been attacked by malware. Run your antivirus while in safemode.
