he shot through the door 4 times

Of course he's guilty. Even if he truly thought burglars were hiding in his toilet, to shoot at them through a closed door when they could have been of no possible threat is criminal. To claim that he is yelling suddenly at his girlfriend to call the police when she is 10 feet in front and seemingly deaf and mute is ridiculous. To claim he is concerned about her safety and he doesn't even notice where she is can be nothing else than a shameless lie. And every time he is beyond called to account for these lies, he retreats to the usual "I don't know." And all along he retches and breaks down as the slain woman's mother sits stoic and dignified.

It doesn't matter one iota if Pretorius intentionally killed his girlfriend or not, he is still guilty of murder.

The cricket-bat saga, and reported head wounds of his girlfriend are at the moment just hearsay, which will be analysed in court, and proven or disproven there.

Had the person in his bathroom actually been a burglar, he had no right whatsoever to shoot them dead, he should have called the police.

He could then still have protected himself with his own weapon had anything dangerous developed.

Shooting someone through a closed door, not knowing for sure who is on the other side is deliberate homicide.

Blasting away through a bathroom door indiscriminately - not checking who was in there and giving them a warning - and failing to check the whereabouts or safety of his girlfriend all point to murder rather than manslaughter or justifiable homicide.

Olympic hero or not - handicapped or not - Pistorious can hardly claim he was angry, frightened or threatened as reasons for his actions. Emotionally sobbing for the loss of a loved one is a trick many murderers try to pull in hope of a lighter sentence. He might genuinely regret his actions but the evidence is of wilful murder, albeit in a temporary loss of temper.

His lawyers will no doubt defer the trial for many months beyond the scheduled date - pleading deep depression, etc - and/or with such evidence indicating a guilty verdict, he won't get a 'fair' trial.

I haven't been following the case and so don't know what the evidence is but I think he's guilty and killed her on purpose, but it wasn't premeditated, he just lost his temper and went into a blind rage. I think he has a dark history of doing things like that, but again I haven't been following closely so what do I know.

Guilty. Here's what you do before you shoot someone through a closed door. Say, "Hey, who's in there? I have a gun."
