Don't know what to do in this situation?

I met a guy on a text message app on my phone back in November. We talked constantly until he lost his phone. He got a new phone and I didn't have his contact number on my app so we didn't talk during this time. He is in the same school as me and is a year older. In January we became contacts again and the constant messages started again and they are still going to this minute. He's so sweet and funny, when we see each other in school we smile but we don't get the chance to talk. I met up with him and we got on so well, he was constantly hugging me, holding my hand and kissing me. That night I found out he has a girlfriend, this was after we kissed. I got annoyed and he apologized for being a "dick" because he didn't tell me. My friend was talking to him about it and he said he was going to break up with her because he likes me. He told me and my friend he broke up with her but the relationship status is still on facebook and one of my friends who is friends with his girlfriend said they were still in a relationship. My friend asked him what was going on and he said they broke up just the status hasn't changed and it's been almost a month. I honestly think he is lying because she changed her picture to them kissing last week for a day.

I really like this guy but I know I can't trust him, its really bothering that he's lying to me. I just don't know if I should hold on or just let him go?
