I've uninstalled Office 2007 Win BUT?
Whenever I try to download something from the net I get a dialog saying that it is preparing to install Office 2007 and I have to click on cancel to continue to save the download. ho can I get rid of this. I don't think Office 2007 uninstalled correctly but when I try to uninstall again I get that I have to run setup again from the cd and I have lost all those disks.

It sounds like some file types are still set to open with office programs and therefore you computer is starting the installation. An easy fix is probably to go into default programs and set that you don't wan't to use office programs to run certain file types any more. But this issue is being caused by Office not being removed correctly so if you are not able to remove the program through the control panel, you can use the Microsoft Office 2007 Complete Registry Removal and Deletion Uninstaller.
