  • Excel 2003 SUM function?

Say I have 2 columns d, e, I want to keep a running balance in the e column. I start with a total in the first column e. In the second row in the d column I have a value, either positive or negative, I want to sum this value with the number in the e column row one. I want to place the result in the second row of column e. I want to do the same calculation on each subsequent row, thereby have a running total of expenditures in the e column. This is not a homework question but one of personal finance. Can someone please help me do this

    Thanks

  • Why can't people do google or yahoo searches for themselves?

I bet 90% or more of the questions on Yahoo Answers involve simple google searches. Are people that lazy? Also when you suggest that to people somebody always call you down on it and says you didn't answer the question. Most of the time these comments come from kids who probably resent their teachers making them do their own research. Too bad yahoo doesn't let you reply when another commenter knocks your question

  • tinting NOT toning a photo in Photoshop?

I would like to find a tutorial about tinting as opposed to toning B&W portraits in Photoshop. Toning is when you give the overall picture a brownish tone. Every search I've done results in tutorials that teach you how to *tone* not *tint* a photo. Tinting B&W portraits was done a lot prior to the 60's.

  • Weight of water compared to it volume?

I have always heard that 16 fluid oz of water would weigh 6oz. but when I recently weight 15.08 fl oz of water at room temperature on a digital scale it weighted 14.25 oz. Is there a reason for this or is my scale wrong. I measured the fluid volume with a lab beaker from a highschool science class, so it should be right. is their a common household article that has an exact weight so that I can prove my scale? like maybe a coin?

  • Using a network how can I get my computers to share files?

Ok, here's the deal: I Originally installed a cable modem and a wireless router upstairs on an Xp computer. I was downstairs with a built-in adapter on my computer. That was several years ago and now we have laptops and tablets in the house and they all share the connection just fine. I now have two computers at my workstation downstairs and would like to share files between them. I get tired of plugging in a usb drive to one, writing to it, unplugging it an plugging it into the other computer and opening the file. If I had a network I wouldn't have to do that. The computer that the modem and router were originally installed on is not even used anymore and is turned off. The various computers and tablets in use use various OS. Android and Nook for the tablets. Win Xp, Vista and 7 for the computers. Can someone show me what I need to do? I guess I already have a network since all the computers and tablets share the internet connection. I just need to know(exactly) what i need to do in each case to enable all to share files. I would like my Win 7 Ultimate machine to be the server, since that is the most powerful.

    Thanks,

    Paul

  • Just WHAT IS the maximum rate a black hole can spin?

It's all over the news a black hole is spinning at 84% of the maximum rate that it can spin. But just how fast is that? 70 miles an hour? tha the maximum interstate speed. OK I'm being facetious but come on if you are educating the public, not many of us know what the theoretical maximum is or in what units. So we need some one like Carl Sagen to dumb it down for us. Maybe someone could give us the maximum in like revolution per microsecond or something.

    Thanks,

    Paul
