Which CD do you use after you install an expiation pack on Sims 3? (PC obviously)?

I have Sims 3 and Sims 3 Pets already on my computer. I have to use the Sims 3 Pet's CD to play the game. My friend has the Supernatural expiation pack (I think that's the name, with the witches, vampires, werewolves, etc.) If I download it onto my computer, which CD would I need to use? Is there a site or something that tells you the orders the CD's would have to be played or if you have this you have to use this CD over that. I know it's confusing, not sure how to explain it any easier. lol. Thanks!

    You always use the most recently installed disk to play the game.
