How is it right to force your rights on someone but your own rights must be saved?

I ask out of genuine curiosity, I post a question about Idaho official who is going to enforce second amendment by making all adults members of a 'militia' not select, all, that means as soon as you turn 18 you become part of this militia, does not matter about how you feel on this issue, you are if this passes officially part of this.

Tell me how having your rights violated like this to preserve your rights of second amendment is right?

Update:

The thing is this isn't selective, it's every adult.

Update 2:

Freedom of Choice would like to talk to you, it says by forcing people to be part of militia against their will, then you are jeopardizing their right to what they will.

Actually the founding fathers who drafted the 2nd Amendment did NOT force everyone to join the militia. Only white men who favored the revolution were invited to join.

I sure wish righties would properly interpret the 2nd Amendment.

I suppose now you’ll also say that militia members will have to go around killing Indians and taking their land, which was part of the reason they armed white men.

As a matter of definition YOU ARE in the militia. All this law would do is CODIFY that FACT.

How would you feel about your State passing "law" that says all persons living in your State are alive? THAT would "violate your rights" in EXACTLY the same way and to EXACTLY the same extent.

Since you won't do the homework: A militia is a group of citizens of "fighting age." That's it. Seriously. You're objecting to a law the says you exist.

Once you add MODIFYING words or phrases, (like "select militia," "Militia Unit," "1st Philadelphia Regimental Militia" . . . .) the NEW definition will include more details but "the general militia" is nothing more than that portion of the population that COULD participate in military engagement.

Again, ALL this law does is remind potential "regulators" who would restrict human rights to "militia members" that YOU ARE the militia - because, you know, YOU ARE.

Well, under federal law, the Militia is all able bodied males between ages 17 and 45.

The 2nd amendment is not absolute ... neither is the 1st (we can't yell fire in a crowded theater). I've never heard of a private citizen in America owning a live anti aircraft gun. It could shoot down commercial airliners. Common sense is supposed to dictate.

Forcing someone into a militia is as debatable (or absurd) as it gets ... I'd have to see the premise.

I believe we have just as much right to refuse being a gun owner as others believe the right to own one.

NO ONE can force you to join a militia (other than a wartime draft). They could never pass such a law, so your question has no purpose.

Also no one is saying you have to buy a gun. It's just that those of us who do exercise our 2nd Amendment Rights, WILL NOT be giving them up.

well, we already have that as a law for male citizens - it's called selective service and by law every male must register with selective service when they turn 18 years of age.

not having seen the statements by the idaho official, it sounds like he/she is rightfully expanding selective service to include females.

i don't have a problem with that... afterall, it is not likely that we will have another draft anytime in the near or long-term future.

which amendment guarantees freedom of choice?

we force children to join a school, even if that school is at home, don't we?

You pointing to a local militia its not a national issue. But in truth both are in the same homeland security pool

Post a link. If you are 18 you have to register for the selective service.

the Dick Act of 1902 already designates 18 to 45 year olds as such. it has never been repealed.

Such a voter initiative is stupid, and should have never been put to vote.To make you join any group is ridiculous.
