Why weren't republicans calling the free medicaid phones "Bush phones" when he was president?

Its the same way with the deficit. Under a Republican administration it is ignored, but when a Democrat is in power they use it to bash him over the head with it. They are predictable.

And using the medicaid phones is just an insight into how hard up they are for real reasons to attack Obama. He's doing such a good job that they can't find anything of substance.

People tend to find particular actions "morally reprehensible" only when their guy isn't in office. We have the same problem as democrats; Obama has doubled down on the worst parts of the patriot act, droning, etc. and we stay silent; you know we would be up in arms if "president McCain /Romney" was carrying these acts out

THANK YOU! They want to blame everything on Obama, they claim people get free stuff under Obama, but if by free things they mean food stamps, welfare and phones, all of that was around way before Obama took office. Saying crap like that just makes them look ignorant.

Actually, if you think about it they could be called Reagan phones, since the free phone act was actually put in place under him, it was changed to include cell phones when Bush was in office.

Republicans, unlike this gang, weren't out there 24/7 encouraging the helplesss, hapless & shiftless to game the system and then go shooting their mouths off crowin' about all free stuff Bush gave them.

Because that could be an uncomfortable place to keep a phone (but some might like it if the phone is set to "vibrate").

Maybe a better question would be why didn't Democrats call them Bushphones and then start calling them Obamaphones when Obama became president?

It might have something to do with the website called obamaphone.org that was a link to an organization that helped people get the phones.

Wonder if people know there is only 1 phone per household. Republicans don't blame their own for anything.
