If I have enrolled my wife in DEERS?

I married my current wife in 2002. We enrolled her in DEERS and she received her military ID.

Would it be the responsibility of the one who enrolled us to add my wife as a dependent to the Veterans Association. Doesn't this information go into my file?

Update:

Sorry, I was in a hurry. I meant Veterans Affairs. So, you are saying that the VA received my wife's files? We turned in her birth certificate and our marriage license.

Update 2:

What I am saying is, we turned in our records and she received her DEERS id and she was never added on to my disability for the last 11 years, even though we have been trying for this long to have them change my records. During those 11 years the VA kept sending me bills for overpayment of other things that I did not owe. All in all I had no idea what they were paying me. I am severely disabled from Rheumatoid Arthritis and sciatic arthritis and have other health problems as well.

So then I get a letter from the regional Va telling me I owe them 38,000 in over payment. That is when my wife went to work on checking what my disability was supposed to be and come to find out they were paying me as a single vet since 2002.

We have been fighting this issue since Nov. 2011 and the VA has been throwing away our forms, so now we are sending this certified mail. They told us the case is closed and they reduced our debt to 16,000 which is still wrong. I owe them nothing and in fact they owe me.

    What Veterans Association?

DEERS has nothing to do with Veterans stuff.

Be sure you are not dealing with a scam before you provide any information.

Once your dependents are enrolled in DEERS, and receive their ID card, they are eligible for medical care, and all other benefits for military dependents.

Your record will reflect all dependents (on your "page 2")

But, what is the Veterans Association?

Are you talking about the VA?

And what information do you want in your file?

This is a very confusing question.

    huh?

any civilian organization that has ties to the military like the American Legion or VFW is up to YOU to enroll in.

if you mean the VA( Veteran's Affairs) there is nothing that she may be entitled to unless you as the veteran meet certain criteria.
