Should I be worried about my April 16th flight from Philly to Rome being cancelled because of the sequester?

They're talking about furloughing TSA and FAA employees.

Philly international isn't on the list of airports that could be shutdown, but I'm still worried.

What would I do?

It's with US Airways

No airports are going to be "shut down." A few small airports that don't serve commercial flights may not get ATC anymore, but they will still be open using the same rules as all the other small airports with no ATC. At worst you might spend more time in line at security.

No. There are not going to be any cancellations due to sequester. No major aiports are going to be shut down. There will still be plenty of TSA and FAA employees at the aiports.

Did you know that even after all these so called "massive spending cuts" the federal government will still spend more this year than it did last year?

No, you should not be worried.

If it is cancelled then contact US Airways. On the day of travel be prepared by having the phone numbers for the airline and for the ticket issuer if not US Airways. If you find out at the airport that a flight is cancelled then go to a customer service counter and call the airline while you are waiting in line.
