How many Otos can I get for this tank?

I have a 6.6 gallon bookshelf aquarium which currently is housing a rather agressive Betta; Gwendle, and two gost shrimp. Gwendle tore up some of the neon tetras (6) which were recommended as tankmates, so I removed/relocated them to my 20 gal long tank. He lived before with a single cory in a 2.5 gal tank with no issues, so I figured a group of Otos could also live undistrubed with him and knock out the new algae growth in the tank.

Summary:

Stocking: 1 male betta, 2 ghost shrimp

Tank Dimensions: 6.6 gallons, 24" long, 8" wide, 9"deep

Question: How many Otos can I get?

I'd say 3 max, but 2 would be more comfortable for all your fish & shrimp. Hope he gets along with those also!

    Hi Reesie,

I'm glad you moved your tetras to the 20 gallon cos a 6.6 gallon is just too small for them. Unfortunately, ottos also need a 20 gallon. at the moment your tank is at its maximum safe stocking potential.
