Why do right-wingers on Yahoo sling insults whenever the topic of gun control is mentioned?

You've just summed up exactly the problem with Politics in the US today and for the last 15 years, no one is willing to see the other party's points of view and resort to name calling and insults rather than listen to / present reasonable arguments to get their point across. The liberals are too far too the left pushing a socialist agenda in the pockets of special interests and unions. The Conservatives are too far right and are in the pockets of big business and the thrall religious zealots. While this situation is allowed to persist things will never change and unfortunately, too many people are not able to think for themselves just follow party dogma and believe everything the media tells them. Unfortunately, gun ownership is so ingrained in US culture that there is little anyone can or should do to prevent it. Instead of trying to take guns away from law abiding citizens, the government should concentrate on increasing the deterrent for the criminals, (ie) stronger background and mental health checks and sentences should be tripled in the event of anyone using a gun or other lethal weapon to commit a crime.

McCain believes that each and absolutely everyone individuals have the excellent to have weapons. until you have a criminal heritage. the different GOP runners, are actually out so he's the only voice that counts in this undertaking. I even have yet to hearken to Obama's view in this undertaking.
