Drink plenty, have plenty of rest and eat healthily, also take some cough syrup/medicine. I've had a cough like that before and ended up heaving and crying too, it's horrible!

I hope you get well soon, visit a doctor if it doesn't improve in about a week or two and wash your hands regularly/cover your mouth when you cough x

Maybe tonsoliatis or a viral infection but check with your doctor
