i am trying to hook up a dvd player to a Cisco hdmi (time warner) box?
do i need more than the cable that came with the dvd player. it is red, yellow and white on the ends. the dvd player is memorex. i don't think this should be so difficult but i can't get it to work. any help greatly appreciated. thank you

You don't., simply.
You need to connect the player to an A/V on your TV directly. You should use a component cable (RGB plus R/W audio).
