Is it true that all religions support slavery?

in their religious books , in some form or another

and if so,

Atheism is so humane, modern & better & the way to go

Update:

Nigerian : I meant - in their books , which were written long ago , i dont mean that religion enforced it rather accepted hence supported by virtue of consent.

Update 2:

Taylor - non-abrahmic had caste

Update 3:

Annsan - does it mean Atheists support it ? No we only support the good part. Human trafficking is not on atheist menu. Please do not equate criminals with Atheists. Rather many criminals are so much religious out of fear and pay money to charity to save their souls.

there are various places the place slavery remains practiced at present. genuine, stay slavery. Saudi Arabia, numerous African international locations, and so on. do only somewhat study and you will study approximately it. The prepare is a lot, a lot older than the bible. It replace into practiced in historical Sumerian and the Ubaid cultures a minimum of 5000 years in the past. Africans have been enslaving one yet another long until eventually now the white adult adult males got here to purchase and sell them, and nevertheless are to on the instant time. community individuals additionally practiced slavery - after prevailing a conflict against yet another tribe they'd take lots of the adult adult males from the dropping tribe to be slaves, and various of the ladies to be breeders and slaves to boot as infants. the rest they killed. Then of direction there is the female intercourse slave commerce, and the newborn intercourse slave commerce. those are the two alive and properly throughout Asia. so so a good distance as what faith, it rather a lot crosses over particularly some distinctive religious obstacles and cultures. basically some area counsel you are able to discover thrilling.

You don't need a religious book to support slavery. Godless atheists, by the hundreds of thousands, are eagerly engaging in human trafficking right now. Children are their main target. And young girls.

Go and examine the vile people who enslave children and youths. Count how many of them are atheists. And they're doing it today. Right under your self-righteous nose.

EDIT - "Please do not equate criminals with Atheists" you ask. Okay, but if I come across an atheist who is a criminal, I certainly will.

"we only support the good part" - how convenient. Point to atheists who are decent, charitable, law-abiding people and claim them as one of your own. Fine. Then try to pretend that huge numbers of godless evil-doers are not atheists? Are you kidding?

We keep getting told by atheists that there is no Atheist Religion, or that they are in any way a corporate body of people with ANY agenda. Right. All that means is that you don't have to to be a law-breaker to be an atheist, and that you don't have to be law-abiding to be an atheist. We're not exactly any further forward, are we?

We can certainly agree on your point that many criminals become religious out of fear, and/or support charity in the vain hope of 'saving their souls'. Christianity teaches that nobody can save their soul, no matter how many 'good works' they do. So I hope you see that we can agree on some things.

Modern world has drug slaves, sex slaves, money slaves, slave workers each and every kind that did not exist in the past. Open your eyes and see.

Editing: In Quran, there is no verse saying enslave people but violatoion of religious rules are punished by freeing a slave, there are so many cases. Our prophet freed many slaves and was kind and affectionate towards them. When Quran was revealed it was a fact of the society, Quran did nor establish slavery:

"3. But those who divorce their wives by Zihar, then wish to go back on the words they uttered,- (It is ordained that such a one) should free a slave before they touch each other: Thus are ye admonished to perform: and Allah is well-acquainted with (all) that ye do. " (58:3)

"It is not righteousness that ye turn your faces Towards east or West; but it is righteousness- to believe in Allah and the Last Day, and the Angels, and the Book, and the Messengers; to spend of your substance, out of love for Him, for your kin, for orphans, for the needy, for the wayfarer, for those who ask, and for the ransom of slaves; to be steadfast in prayer, and practice regular charity; to fulfil the contracts which ye have made; and to be firm and patient, in pain (or suffering) and adversity, and throughout all periods of panic. Such are the people of truth, the Allah.fearing. (2:177)

"Never should a believer kill a believer; but (If it so happens) by mistake, (Compensation is due): If one (so) kills a believer, it is ordained that he should free a believing slave, and pay compensation to the deceased's family, unless they remit it freely. If the deceased belonged to a people at war with you, and he was a believer, the freeing of a believing slave (Is enough). If he belonged to a people with whom ye have treaty of Mutual alliance, compensation should be paid to his family, and a believing slave be freed. For those who find this beyond their means, (is prescribed) a fast for two months running: by way of repentance to Allah. for Allah hath all knowledge and all wisdom. (4:92)

"Allah will not call you to account for what is futile in your oaths, but He will call you to account for your deliberate oaths: for expiation, feed ten indigent persons, on a scale of the average for the food of your families; or clothe them; or give a slave his freedom. If that is beyond your means, fast for three days. That is the expiation for the oaths ye have sworn. But keep to your oaths. Thus doth Allah make clear to you His signs, that ye may be grateful." (5:89)

I think you understand what I mean. Islam aimed to free people but it is not an instant job, these verses tells what I mean.
