Weird College Application?

So I've applied to a college (Early Decision), but I was missing a part of the app because our guidance counselor was not able to pass my mid term grades on time. When the decisions for the Early Decision came out, I was told that I should submit the missing parts first, and then they'll view my app still as an ED. So I submitted the missing parts.

The weird thing is, I don't know if I was deferred or not to Regular Decision, because the home page for the app in the college's website read "Regular Decision".

I became a bit worried, because I didn't know what was happening. I tried contacting the school, asking them to check the status of my app. They kept on replying that they would check, but still nothing is happening.

Maybe this is happening because I am asking for financial aid?

About the app, I think i have a good one. Most of my grades are good enough, my essay as well. I don't know what to do

It really depends on the school -- this particular school does not seem the most efficient or best organized, and it's hard to say whether your application for financial aid has anything to do with it (sometimes colleges do factor financial aid needs into the admissions decision-making process; sometimes they have "need-blind" admissions policy so would not factor financial aid into admissions decisions).

From what you described, I would interpret your application as still being considered, likely within the Regular Decision pool. (I'm not sure if they could still count you as being part of the ED pool, given that ED decisions were announced some time ago; it may be that statistically you are still counted as an ED applicant for tallying purposes, but the application system is treating your application currently as being in the Regular Decision process.)

If I were in your shoes, I would just wait to hear back. You've done all that you could, and it's up to them to make a decision and notify you properly.

    Good luck!
