How to take LSD safely?

It's for my friend, he insists on doing it and no one can stop him so I want to at least make sure he is doing it safely.

The thing with hallucengenics is that you cannot guarantee the effect. So in short, there is no 'safe' way to take it. You can just make sure that he is in as sensible company as possible, and that someone has got a phone in case something goes wrong. I'm not going to bore you with lectures, as I am sure that if it's an itch the guy has to scratch - he will do it regardless.

As a friend though - just use your head. If you're going to be with him great - but make sure there is sober company around while he goes on his trip. Use your common sense, and don't freak out. He'll act strangely - but that doesn't mean that you'll need to phone an ambulance. I think you'd do well to research lsd - read up about the effects and symptoms of someone under the influence so that you know what to expect. And as I already said - if YOU aren't going to be about - pass your expertise on to whoever will be in his company.

If he's set on it plan on spending at least the next 24 hours with him. It likely wont last that long abut it can go on and on and on and on and on and on. When tripping there is no telling what people will find interesting.. It should be someplace comfortable and relaxing so no negativity enters during the trip. Last thing you want is cop cars and flashing lights and sirens, even if its just on TV. Cartoons are cool but funny one not Manga. Porn is very...different. I had a friend who like to take a big Hershey's chocolate bar, put it in a pan over really low heat and watch it slowly melt. I had a painting of a countryside with a waterwheel and a small water fall that used to begin to work and flow. Pretty cool. But you never know what you are going to get, that is what makes it so dangerous. Go to the 7-11 and watch the pastries dance. Probably not the same without Twinkies. Just keep him safe. And if he has never done anything like this there are much more subtitle hallucinogenics to try first. You have to be in the right mood or LSD will attack you with a vengeance, and he's already in a bad place worrying what is going to happen That is a recipe for disaster if not a really bad trip. Stay away from chemicals, there are many organics that are much more forgiving, easy to find on the net, not so easy on the street but much better than acid. Not a good place to start And get your rest as you will be up with him all night, maybe a couple. Its not like you can stop and say "Okay Im not tripping any more" You will always lose that fight and nothing good will come of it. Good luck

There is not a safe way to take LSD. I think you knew that before asking the question. Get a new friend.

Old hippies would tell him to at least have a "guide", who is someone that can take you to the ER in case you become totally irrational and hysterical or by some chance suicidal. Homemade hallucinogens are as deadly as bathtub gin during prohibition.

  • You don't take it is an illegal drug to own it is Level 1 controlled substance. It can only be safely taken in a clinical trial and even then it is risky.

Put your car keys in a jiffy bag and post them to yourself first. Other than that, it's generally pretty safe, stories about people thinking they can fly and stuff is just an urban myth.

Make sure he is not alone and ensure at least one person stays sober to prevent him from hurting himself.

There's no such thing as doing a drug safely, doing drugs always carries risks
