The use of aborted fetuses for stem cells?
I am presenting a persuasive speech about why the use of stem cells should be legal. For a side of my argument, I would like to say that it would be possible to use the stem cells from aborted fetuses, therefore their life would not go to waste.
Is this a valid concept?

Your opponents will probably argue about the sanctity of life, so expect resistance for even mentioning the word "fetus". I don't think that from a moral perspective saying, "It was dead when I got there" will make things any easier.
There are some alternatives, though- you can get stem cells from the placenta, for example, and some scientists are working on ways to clone stem cells and even take normal adult (specialized) cells and revert them back into stem cells.
You'll probably want to focus on how stem cells can be used to cure disease, improve quality of life, and save lives.
