Copyright Alert System?

With big ISP's in the USA (verizon, at&t, comcast etc..) now adopting this "six strike" system I'm wondering have any of you had these alerts yet, and if so has it deterred you from downloading copyright material using torrent (p2p) networks?... or what do you guys think about it and are you scared? Would you consider moving to an ISP smaller and less well known to escape it?

Update:

Guys, I'm merely asking the question. I don't live in the USA, neither do I torrent or download copyright material. I'm trying to get peoples opinions on it because I have a blog on computer security that's all, and I don't appreciate the insinuations. Just because I have a profile pic that denotes I might belong to a hacking group known as "anonymous" doesn't make it so, you don't know me or anything about my life. Telling people to stop asking questions in a forum that's designed for people to ask questions is ridiculous.

What worries me is this - is it possible to get a false positive? Because not all downloaded material is illegal. It may have been placed online by the artist to promote themselves. Unknown artists give their material away free, and so do older established artists who feel they have made enough money from the internet. Ray Larabie made all his fonts free for home users, for example. And if you're a small business you can 'barter' him for use of one of his fonts.

Doesn't bother me in the least and why should I be scared of it if I don't do it anyway?

I'll tell you this much though.

You changing to another ISP wont make the slightest bit of difference.

All your internet activity is recorded by any ISP and the log on details on those sites

    and what you have downloaded.

6 strikes in the US. Bit behind aren't you?

In the UK, you get two warnings and then your account is terminated.

After that NO internet provider will touch you!

After that the only thing you can get is Pay as You Go mobile broadband.

" have any of you had these alerts yet"

Nope. To begin with, I am no Thief.

Second, I do NOT use any Torrent, Bittorrent or any P2P software. With the way malware has advanced, any one that does is a FOOL
