Should Mexico abandon the war on drugs and just let US consumers get their "stuff" ?

Update:

It seems the huge efforts have NOT managed to curb down or hamper the consumption in any way but have added a whole new component of killing to an existing traffic. This does not sound like a success, so?

    We should all abandon the war on drugs as it relates to adults, not juveniles.
