Can you solve this math problem? 10 POINTS :)?

One number is 30 more than another number. If the difference between the two numbers is equal to 8. What are the numbers?

    According to your description of the problem:

    A is 30 more than B. In other words, A-B= 30.

    Therefore, if the difference between the 2 numbers is 30 it cannot possibly be 8 at the same time.

    I'm going to guess: I think that the problem is:

    "x times one number is 30 more than another number. If the difference between the two equals 8, what are the numbers"

    Look it up, correct it and upload it again.

    19-11= 8

    Are you sure you didn't copy the problem incorrectly? Because this problem doesn't seem solvable: the first sentence says that the difference between the two numbers is 30, while the second sentence says that the difference between the numbers is 8; there are no two numbers such that both of these are true...

    Its not possible.

    If one number is 30 more than another number, how can you expect to subtract them and end up at 8?
