How to loosen a door knob?

My dad just put new door knobs on my door (we bought them at Ace hardware yesterday) and they're on and they work and everything but they're very tight and hard to turn, anyway to fix this, or will it just loosen up over time?

I would take the doorknob apart and spray white lithium or teflon spray on the moving parts. Don't use this where the key goes in, only use graphite in the keyway.

HI, THERE ARE MANY TYPES OF DOOR KNOBS. LOOK AT THE IN THE INSTALLATION DIRECTIONS OR GO BACK TO ACE AND ASK SOMEONE TO SHOW YOU ON A SIMILAR ONE.
