The pain is over quickly. It's a rather thick area so they have to use quite a lot of force to get the needle all the way through. The worst thing for me was the headache it gave me afterwards. There felt like there was a lot of pressure on my head for the next day, but that was over quickly. By day 2 it didn't hurt anymore, only a little sore when I was cleaning it. I had it pierced on both ears so I couldn't sleep on my sides for awhile, so if you're only getting it on 1 ear get it on which ever side you don't sleep on.

That's exactly the reason my mom didn't want me getting mine done.. but honestly I wouldn't have been panicking beforehand if i knew it hurt as little as it did.

Overall it depends on your pain tolerance (mine's kind of high but yeah).. to be honest it reminded me of when you get an injection- it really was just a sharp pain and then it went kind of numb for about an hour afterwards..

If youre careful not to sleep on it, and don't touch it without washing your hands you should be okay. Apparently the reason it doesn't hurt is because the tragus has no nerves or veins running through it so it's just cartilage.

And the piercing looks really cute so is well worth it:')

I got my tragus pierced yesterday. I've heard some people say that their piercer used numbing medicine, however mine did not. Yes, it hurt. The forcepts hurt, but honestly, in my opinion, the worst part is when they shove the needle through. I've got a pretty thick... ear flap? Lmao. But yes, it hurt. Worse than my tattoo. And I have a high pain tolerance. I guess it just depends on the person. If you want it done though, do it. I love mine, and plan on getting the other side done in a week or so.

Yes, it will hurt. It is a piercing, and a cartilage piercing at that. How much it will hurt, however, depends on your own pain tolerance. It will also be sore from a few days up to a few months after you get it pierced as it heals.

Mine honestly didn't hurt at all. It's just some pressure and it's over really quick.

If you press your tragus really tight between your thumb and your index finger, you'll have an idea of how it feels. Really not that bad! So if you really want one, go for it! They're adorable :)

It hurts a bit, but no more then the others, it's just the clap that hurts tbh
