Can someone please identify this bug?

I found some bugs along the baseboards and I do not know what they are. Here is a picture: http://tinypic.com/r/ejg3rq/6

Update:

Also: these bugs appear to have wings of some sort, are spotted, 3mm long, 2mm wide, and definitely do not have the large abdomen that bed bugs have.

Update 2:

They also have six legs, so they are not ticks.

Don't worry, it could be worse! Those are Varied Carpet Beetles. They can cause some damage by eating organic fibers like cloth, feathers and fur. They can also get into food items like flour and cereal. At least they aren't bed bugs, they won't bite you.
