If energy drinks depress me, will alcohol do the same?

About an hour after the last few times I've had energy drinks, I began to feel an onset of anxiety and depression. It worsens what I already have and makes me feel really shitty. I've never had alcohol before, but I was wondering, would it do the same?

Update:

I've been dealing with clinical depression for about 2-3 years now, so that definitely affects my current state.

    Yes and no.

Alcohol is a depressant but in most people the body counter-reacts its depressant effects giving a pleasurable feeling. In the long run alcohol does increase a persons susceptibility to depression.

I had major depression for over 20 years and cured it by cutting alcohol, as well as caffeine and processed sugars. The very ingredients I used to love to have in energy drinks, coffee, sweets, etc.

If you feel depressed now, sounds like you are prone to depression. It can sneak up on you in the long run even without energy drinks or alcohol, and you'll be wondering what happened.

I built a depression self help website sharing information to help those with depression and how to prevent and cure it. Here it is:

Alcohol is already considered a depressant.

What you are feeling with the energy drinks is what people call the "crash". A lot of sugar after it wears down the body feels shitty

In a observe, sure! this is not any information that some people in a rehab for alcohol abuse have tried that one. there is the two a actual and psychological dependence for persons who abuse/have a situation with alcohol. this is possibly a mix of the two that ought to have them drink the mouthwash. in the event that they did no longer have one or the two a style of dependencies, they does not do it, whilst quickly as.

Depends, alcohol usually makes me feel happy and extremely outgoing but some people are different.
