How much maple sugar equals 1oz maple syrup?

I have a recipie that calls for 2 Tbsp maple syrup. I have granulated maple sugar. How much maple sugar should I use?

I'm assuming they are nearly the same volumetricly.

1/2 cup finely grated maple sugar = 1 cup maple syrup

So, you need half as much maple sugar as the recipe calls for in maple syrup. You may also want to add a touch more of whatever other liquid is in the recipe to make up for the lack of liquid in the maple sugar.
