Good area to get a first tattoo?

I'm speaking body-wise, I have plenty of time to find a place to get it done since I'm not the legal age to get a tattoo on my own yet. My mother gets really pissed when I talk about getting a tattoo that's visible, like on my forearm or bicep area.

Since I'm planning for a first tattoo, I'm wondering on a location that would be easy to hide, with my shirt or pants but I can still make it visible if I want to, if that makes sense? My friend was suggesting shoulder to mid-bicep or elbow or upper back, shoulderblade, or leg. I'm just not sure, I'd appreciate suggestions or tips.

I don't want to.. you know, not have any idea when I go to get one and totally regret the placement later.

I'm about to get a tattoo on my inner bicep thats a little easier to hide. But maybe you should think about the chest area or rib area, but the ribs are going to hurt a lot, but thats up to you.

Pick what you want, then decide where it would look best on your body.
