What is the name of the man who attacked Ilianexy Morales?
I can't find it anywhere, nor can I find any court transcripts. Is his name being actively suppressed and if so, why?
Thanks very much DP for taking the trouble to look it up and to answer. I'll wait out the time until this Q expires to see if anyone else can find the answer, but I appreciate your help.

He was sentenced in New York in 2005 to 15 years, and the articles seem to indicate he is still incarcerated. If you can find the court where he was convicted, you will be able to find the record, as it would be a public record. The problem is, the records are filed alphabetically, so you would need his name to look for the case, and each court keeps its own set of books. From the articles on the internet, it looks like the boyfriend was convicted while Morales was still in the hospital in a coma.
If you have a date, you might be able to find a newspaper article from 2005 about it, but since it was New York, it probably did not even make the news. Might have been in one of the local tabloids.
His name is probably not being mentioned because it is not about him, it is about the victim and those who have tried to help her recover.
