How can I make my hair lighter?

I used to be a really light blonde when I was younger, but over the years my hair has turned basically brown. In the summer it turns a golden colour. The thing is, I want to get it as light as possible, but naturally. I don't want to die it or bleach it. I have tried putting lemon juice in it and then sitting in the sun but it didn't get much lighter. I understand that some things will be damaging and make my hair dryer but I'm ok with that.

So does anybody know ways to make hair lighter without dye or bleach?

Ok I'm an expert at lightening the hair naturally without damage!!

Don't use chamomile, it is very drying.

Don't use bleach or dye, they're damaging and "fake"

Don't use peroxide.... makes hair reddish and dry.

I'm in the same boat, and I use cinnamon powder and raw honey... sounds crazy I know, but both of them have natural bleaching agents with ZERO damage (unlike chamomile).

What I do to have beautiful golden hair is apply raw honey on my scalp (it lightens EXTREMELY quick the newly grown hair, your roots will be lighter and when your hair grows it'll be amazingly light)

Raw honey also moisturizes hair, so it will nourish your new hair.. you can apply it to your length too.

And for the length I use a mix of cinnamon powder and water, I make a paste out of it and apply it to my length... and then you can grab a little conditioner and put it in the very ends of your hair, or use more honey instead.

The more time you leave this on your hair, the better. I usually apply this on my hair for like... 5 hours at least. You'll notice results within the first use.

You need to make sure to wash your hair well, or bits of cinnamon powder will remain there.

When first geting your hair wet you'll feel like your hair is a bit dry (because of the cinnamon powder, hair feels dry with any kind of powder) But it will be normal once you get out of the shower, or even softer because of the honey.

I was growing naturaly dark brown hair (almost black) And right now it is light brown, my new natural hair color! :)

BTW, try not to mix honey and cinnamon powder together as they may make your hair a biiiit reddish, apply them separately on your hair as I explained.

Source(s): Don't believe me? Search for cinnamon powder and raw honey on google. I wish I could share some pics but my hair is pretty dry right now (harsh shampoos) So it would be embarrasing.

If you go to a drugstore they should sell a product named sun in ! It just lightens your hair when your in the sun! You just spray on the parts you want lightened and go Outside and have fun in the sun! It also is a very nice leave in conditioner! Trust me it works from experience

You can't lighten it without dye. Don't listen to that other person: DO NOT USE SUN IN.

Unless you want to look like carrot top
