I'm looking into buying a MacBook Pro but I don't have enough money, I'm $200 short. My parents won't lend me any and I've been babysitting my butt off for this. I don't want to wait any longer so I was wondering if it's okay to buy a refurbished mac from the apple website? I've done a lot of research and I personally think its fine but my parents won't let me because they don't trust it.

Do you think I should wait what will probably end up being about 6 months to make up the money or should I buy the refurbished one? If you think I should get the refurbished one, could you give me some points as to why it's a better idea than buying new so I could try to convince my parents? Thanks so much!

The only thing my parents will pay for is the Apple Care by the way.

I just got the new ios 7 update on my ipad and I don't know whats going on with my music. I share an iTunes account with my sisters so I automatically get their music downloaded onto mine because of cloud. I had deleted most of their music because I don't like it and everything was fine. Now with the ios 7 all of their music is back and I can't get rid of it! It's not technically downloaded because there's still a button I have to press for iCloud but the song will still play when I tap it or hit shuffle... I'm sorry that's a horrible description but I don't know how else to word it... How do I get rid of their music on my ipad?

Okay, we'll I really want to play on my high school field hockey team but I've never played before. I'm in grade 10 and the team is for 9s and 10s. I've never played ice hockey, only ball hockey and if it doesn't sound too conceited, I'd say I was pretty good. I recently quit my soccer team of 4 years and high level competitive dance of 11 years. I try to stay fit by cycling and working out at Goodlife Fitness but I'm a really slow runner because of my asthma. I've been googling how to play field hockey and I have a good idea of how to play as far as mental skills go. I have all of the equipment I'll need except for a stick which will be supplied. Also one of the coaches is my last years gym teacher and she gave me an 86% out of 100% in her class so I guess I do pretty well in gym.

What should I do to make the team? There are a lot of girls trying out, does it sound like I have a pretty good chance? Thanks! :)

I recently completely redid my bedroom. I painted the walls a light grey blue. It's hard to explain but it looks like sky blue with a tint of grey in it. All of my bedroom furniture is white and I have a huge antique white wire bed. It's really pretty. My bed spread right now is navy and white but I don't like it anymore. I want to redo my room again because my taste has changed so much but I can't repaint my walls or change my furniture.

I'm thinking something colourful and kind of fun. Like a colourful quilt or something. What colours would look okay in my room? Or any other tips to redo my room without ACTUALLY redoing it. Like accents and stuff! Thank you in advance! I'm 16 by the way. :)

I'm going out tonight and I'm crashing at a friends house. I have relatively clear skin, a few blemishes here and there so I opt for a BB cream over a regular foundation. I know BB cream isn't good to sleep in as it is a cosmetic products, but tonight I won't really have a choice if I take it off or not, I'll try my best but I'll probably forget to take it off.

What would happen if I slept with it on? I absolutely breakout if I sleep in regular foundation, so will that happen? Thanks!

I took 2 advil liquid gel pills 2 hours ago. Sorry I don't know the actual dosage, the bottles downstairs and I'm in a lot of pain so I don't want to go down and get it. (Sprained ankle) Anyways, I suffer from insomnia and my doctor suggested I use ZzzQuil sleeping pills because I didn't want prescribed ones. I've been taking 2 ZzzQuil pills every night as directed and 2 pills is 50mg. It's time I start going to bed and I wanted to know if it was safe to take my sleeping pills now, just take one pill, if I should stay up and wait a few hours or if it would be dangerous to take them at all.

I have an 8 year old miniature schnauzer who is not neutered. He isn't on any medications and he is an indoor dog, only goes outside to play or do his business.

I'm sitting on the couch with him right now and I just noticed that his testicles are huge and shiny looking.. Weird I know.. He doesn't appear to have any bites and he doesn't seem to be in any pain, he's moving around normally. I have another much larger labradoodle that just turned 1, so he's very hyper and rough with him. What could cause this and what should I do?

Ok well it's after midnight where I live and my dog is sound asleep on my bed. He's been breathing pretty hard but. Assume he was just hot. No I noticed the tip of his penis is showing. The pink think. Does anybody know whats going on? It's grosses me out but I'm kind of worried because its never gnome out before unless he was humping something...

Well I have to get up to go somewhere with my mom at 8am and right now it's 5 am for me. I don't feel tired AT ALL, like not even a tiny bit. Should I try to sleep for three hours or just pull an all nighter?

I'm just going to my moms work and I'll just be sitting in a chair browsing the Internet for a few hours. So no intense labour or anything.

By the way, I'll be home by 12pm and I'll be able to sleep then.

In Ontario do you need a doctorate/phd or whatever, sorry I'm unfamiliar with the terms, to technically become a psychologist? I know absolutely nothing about it, I'm only 15 but I'm just asking out of curiosity. :) thanks!

I'm trying to decide which to use for a sandwich/wrap. They'll both have the same fillings, spinach, tuna, celery and cheese. So which is the healthier choice? Oh by the way, the whole wheat bread has no fat or sugar added. Thanks! :)

I'm 15 years old, I don't have very much stress in my life, my family life is good and I have great friends, no drama. It's summer vacation so school isn't getting me down either. I am not over weight and I work out at around noon every day to every other day. I've tried everything but I just can't sleep at night!

It's been happening since I was 13, I just lie in bed wide awake. I toss and turn some but not a lot, I mostly just lie there. I've tried every herbal tea out there and I've been on different dosages of melatonin but it hasn't done anything for me. I don't eat or workout within 3 hours before I try to sleep. I have also tried showering/bathing before bed and drinking warm milk. I don't read or study or do anything on my bed except sleep and my room is pitch black at night. I don't have a tv in my room and I don't use my cell phone, laptop or iPad within an hour before I try to sleep. I have literally tried everything! Do you have any other suggestions? Could I have a sleeping disorder? Thanks in advance!

I volunteer with quite a few cat rescues. Yesterday I was at an in store shelter at Petsmart to clean cages and meet/play with the kitties. I noticed a litter of 3 kittens that i had seen at a different location last week (with the same rescue, just different store). I didn't pay too much attention to them last week, as there were many other volunteers there. Though yesterday I brought them out to run around a bit. Two of the kittens were crazy and playing with all of the other cats that were out of their cages. However, one kitten was awkwardly sitting/lying down right where I'd put him. He hadn't moved at all. I got down on the floor and tried to coax him to play or move a bit, but he didnt do anything. I thought maybe he was blind but he followed my finger when I moved it in front of him and he payed attention to noise so he isn't deaf. When I really looked at his face, I noticed that he looks different. He has a weird bump on the bridge of his nose, as if he formed funny. His eyes are quite squinty and look really distant. He walks quite awkward and when I move him to another side of the room he doesn't notice until he's been there for a few minutes. It's hard to explain but is like he doesn't understand that he's been moved and then when it finally clicks that he isn't in the same spot he kind of panics. Though his panicking is just wide eyes and meowing, he still sits in that awkward crouch. Also, he doesn't make any noise. He opens up to meow and no sound comes out. I got him to purr VERY lightly, it was so light I wasn't sure if it was really him. While they were out of their cages, there were about 5 other cats out as well. They were all playing together and were very hyper as they had been in their cages all night. Every cat stayed away from this special kitten. Even the super crazy cat that was trying to play with everybody. He looked at the kittens face and ****** his head then walked away. He didnt even try to play. I thought maybe being with other cats freaked him out so I took him out alone and he still wouldn't do anything. I took him out with just him and his litter mates and he did nothing. At one point, he used his litter box and tried to cover his business with a blanket, instead of using the litter. Though I'm not sure if that as just an average confusion.

I'm sorry it's a bad description. I'm just not sure how to describe him. His siblings looked totally normal and acted completely normal. This kitten had a weird shaped head and a bump in between his eyes on the bridge of his nose. He looks really distant and isn't interested in anything. His siblings were stiff when being held but this little guy would just go floppy. He was lying on my lap and was trying to knead me, but he didn't take his claws out and was just rubbing his hand up and down my leg, though it was obvious he was trying to knead me.His eyes are squinty but not cloudy. He walks kinda funny and silently meows. However he did love to be wrapped in a blanket and cuddled. He's 12 weeks old and a short haired black cat. His mother was a stray so I'm not sure if he was inbred somehow.

I just want to hear your opinions as to what his problem might be and what would be the best thing for him! I'm thinking of adopting him, I fell in love with him!

Well I'm adopting a cat sometime in the next couple of months. Preferably a kitten so we can bond more, but really, it's whatever feline jumps out at me and steals my heart at the shelter. I want a cat that is cuddly. I know not all cats like to cuddle, they have their own personalities! However, from everyone's personal experience, which gender do you find more cuddly? I volunteer with tons of cat rescues and often I go cuddle with the cats to calm them down. I don't really get an appropriate reading of who is more cuddly, as the cats are all very scared at the shelter.

I know in the end it depends on the cats personality but just as a general idea! :) Also, my cat will be neutered! I don't need to add to the over flowing cat population!

I've asked a question before asking for suggestions to help me convince my parents to let me adopt a cat, but nothing really turns up. My problem is that my cat passed away a few months ago, my family didn't bond with her at all, only I did. I took great care of her until it was her time to go. I am ready to adopt a cat or a kitten now but my parents won't let me. Does anybody have any suggestions as to how I should go about convincing them? I'll write a bit about myself and my predicament below :

I am 14 years old almost 15

I am an honours student with an 85%+ average

I always do my chores

I have 2 dogs that have no problem what so ever with cats

I take care of my dogs, walk them, feed them, play with them and clean up their messes in the yard

I have about a thousand dollars saved if my cat needs some things, my parents would definitely pay the vet bills no matter what, that's just who they are- trust me

I am an avid volunteer with many cat shelters, charities, adopt a thons, and I feed feral cat colonies

My family has more than enough money to pay for a cat

I would only adopt from a shelter

One of the shelters I volunteer with has 2 litters of kittens that are about 3 weeks and an expecting mother cat

I'm not looking to adopt just yet, I'm willing to wait a month or 2, but I need to get the ball rolling so I can get my parents on the right track

I'd prefer a kitten over a cat so that I could train it but either is fine with me

My pets are never by themselves for more than 4 hours at a time

My cat would be strictly indoors

I would DEFINITELY get it spayed/neutered

I've made all of these points clear to my parents but to no avail! And suggestions? PLEASE HELP

I'm looking to adopt a new cat. I have two dogs, a miniature schnauzer who is about 15 lbs and a golden doodle who is about 60 lbs. neither of my dogs are vicious nor have they attacked a cat before. They've been around kittens and cats outside of the house before and everything was fine. I used to have a cat and they all got along well. However, the cat was here before the dogs and the dogs had been with her since they were puppies, so they grew up around her. She passed away and I want to adopt another cat in a few months. Do you suggest I adopt a kitten or a cat? I'm happy with either but I'm worried about how my dogs would react if I actually brought one into the house. They've never had another feline in the house besides my old cat.

So my main question is:

Should I adopt an adult cat or a kitten?

How do you think my dogs might act?

Any tips on how to introduce them?

By the way, I would only adopt from a shelter. One of the cat rescues I volunteer with recently saved 2 litters of kittens and just rescued a mother cat expecting a litter in a few weeks. One of my dogs is a well tempered show dog and the other is a goofy happy go lucky dog that is trained like a show dog, so they are well behaved! They are only alone for no more then 4 hours at a time. And I have a big house so if separation is needed for a little bit of time, it's manageable. Thanks!

Well I'm 14 and in grade nine. I have two dogs and my cat was recently put down, about 2 months ago. I loved her so much. I have grieved and now would like to add another feline to the family. I really want to adopt a kitten from a shelter. No matter what I do, my parents say no! Here's a little more about myself :

I have a 85% + average at school, honours student.

I am an avid volunteer for the Toronto Cat Rescue, Paws n Tails cat rescue, and I feed feral colonies in my town with a team of cat rescuers.

I stay out of trouble.

I am responsible with my dogs, I feed them, I walk them, and I clean up their business in the yard.

I do what I am told and I don't understand why I can't have a kitten. It's a lot of responsibility and I fully understand that, I am willing to give up my time and energy to take are of the kitten. My mom is slightly allergic to cats, though she never had a reaction to my old cat. I promised to vacuum often and brush my cat daily to keep shedding down to a minimum. I have had other pets and have kept my promises to care for them.I have had a hamster, a guinea pig and I recently lost an amazing budgie to heart problems. Money isn't an issue, the shelter I'm looking to adopt from (paws n tails) has three litters of kittens with their first shots for $140. I babysit a lot and save all of my money (i have over 3 thousand saved..) so I offered to pay for everything necessary. I only asked for financial help with some vet bills if necessary. I will be taking the cat with me when I move out. I really don't understand the issue! Can somebody please help me convince my parents to let me adopt a kitten?

By the way, I have an older sibling in university and a younger sibling who doesn't want anything to do with a cat. Which is purrfect because I want my kitty to myself. Though I'm willing to share if need be. Also, I would prefer a kitten so I can leash train her (I have a lot of patience, I've leash trained before) and mould her more into the cat I want. I used to be a really light blonde when I was younger, but over the years my hair has turned basically brown. In the summer it turns a golden colour. The thing is, I want to get it as light as possible, but naturally. I don't want to die it or bleach it. I have tried putting lemon juice in it and then sitting in the sun but it didn't get much lighter. I understand that some things will be damaging and make my hair dryer but I'm ok with that.

So does anybody know ways to make hair lighter without dye or bleach?

Yesterday my mom went on the treadmill. I guess she tripped over the outlet plug and the third prong came off. The grounding pin. I went down to see what she was yelling about and I watched my dad say, Oh it's fine! And plug it back in! I remembered a story I heard from a fire fighter about a kid who did that to his desk top computer and he got electrocuted and his room caught on fire. The kid died.

I don't think I've ever run so fast in my life, I ran out of my basement and got on a high wood chair (insulator) nothing happened and my mom was fine, nobody has used the treadmill since though. I want to use it but I'm freaking out. I'm too scared of it short circuiting and having no where for the electrons to ground because the grounding pin is gone. My house is old and I'm not sure if its grounded or not. Am I over reacting? It's a big treadmill and I'm too scared to use it but I need to workout! Please help me!

Also, I asked my dad if he was going to get it fixed and he said no. I think I'm Dad is an idiot...

I need help. I'm seriously considering suicide right now. My dad beats me and my mom constantly tells me I'm stupid and useless. I told her I'm depressed and want to se a doctor and she told me to suck it up. I have a brother and a sister and they have so much fun tormenting me, they constantly tell me to go kill myself and that I'm psycho.I swear I'm sane, just extremely depressed. I need help trying to commit suicide. I barely have any friends and none of my family lives within 6 hours of me. I have nobody to call for help. I need quick and painless ways of killing myself, I've looked into it a lot and I know that guns don't work well, popping pills isn't good, I don't cut myself and I couldn't "stab myself" to death, tats just stupid. Can somebody seriously help me out?
